Tad Martin, Chairman/CEO
Founder of CCM and former COO/GMM at Overstock.com. Mr. Martin joined Overstock as one of the company’s early employees and reported directly to Patrick Byrne, Overstock’s CEO. During his tenure, Overstock grew from roughly $70m in revenues to over $800m, and went from a privately funded startup to a publicly traded company (NASDAQ: OSTK).
Prior to Overstock, Mr. Martin was part of Gear.com (funded by Amazon.com) and was a member of the Salt Lake Olympic bid committee. Mr. Martin is a frequent speaker, and has been cited for his extensive experience by many publications including The Wall Street Journal, Internet Retailer, and CMO magazine. Mr. Martin earned a Six Sigma Black Belt and applied the methodology to operations at Overstock.
Russell Danziger, VP Operations
Prior to CCM, Mr. Danziger held leadership positions at Merrill Lynch as Director of Global Process Improvement and at GE leading technology operations for NBC’s TV Stations Division and Process Digitization for NBC News. Mr. Danziger is a frequent speaker in the areas of Business Process Improvement, Operations, Innovation and Information Technology. He is a GE-certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Master Black Belt.
Marcus Louie, Product Director
Prior to CCM, Mr. Louie was a full-time PhD candidate at Carnegie Mellon University. While there, he used computational models to study decision-making in social contexts and the dynamics of social networks. His work has been supported by the National Science Foundation, DARPA, Office of Naval Research, and the Air Force Research Laboratories. Marcus holds a B.S. in Computer Science and is a PhD candidate at Carnegie Mellon University.
Taufiq Shamim, CTO
Prior to CCM, Mr. Taufiq Shamim was the Director of Engineering at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG) where he was responsible for the global Software Engineering team. During his tenure at GLG, he successfully built and architected a set of high-volume, high-transaction e-commerce applications. Before GLG, Mr. Shamim held leadership positions at StarCite and Microsoft Corporation. He holds a MS from University of Pittsburgh and a BS from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Jonas Fischer, Marketing Director
Prior to CCM, Mr. Fischer was VP, Account Director at Deutsch, managing the Tylenol brand. Mr. Fischer has over 11 years of Advertising experience in Brand Strategy and Account Management working at top 10 agencies including TBWA/Chiat/Day, Cliff Freeman & Partners and Deutsch. In addition to Tylenol, he has influenced a broad range of brands such as Sony PlayStation, Fox Sports, Turner Broadcasting, Snapple, ASICS, Mars Inc. and Moet Hennessy.
Stephen Messer, Board of Directors
Mr. Messer is the President of World Evolved, LLC. Prior to this, Mr. Messer served as the Chairman and CEO of LinkShare until it was sold to Rakuten for $425m in 2005. As one of the co-founders, he revolutionized the world of online marketing creating one of the first technology platforms to measure and manage advertising relationships. Under Mr. Messer’s leadership, LinkShare was recognized by Deloitte and Touche for two consecutive years as the fastest growing technology company in the New York Region. In 2005, Mr. Messer was awarded the prestigious Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the New York Region. He holds a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York and a BA from Lafayette University.
